She then shared that one woman dropped her a note when they were on a flight, which explained that she was taking her son to an eating disorder clinic. The mother added that Metz's presence on TV helped him realize his self-worth and inspired him to improve his health.
"I was just sobbing," Metz said of receiving the note. "But I've always been the people's person. People truly love to come up and share everything with me. I think it’s because they know I want to listen."
She added that she will "have a real conversation" with fans that approach her. "I’ll cry in the bathroom with you," Metz continued. "I know what it’s like to need someone to talk to.”
