PHELPS, N.Y. — An 18-year-old is facing charges after Ontario County Sheriff deputies say he hit a tree and left the area without reporting an accident.
Deputies say they found the car stopped on State Route 88 in the south lane at around 11:47 p.m. Tuesday night.
After investigating, deputies say Peter Mastowski was driving and drifted off the roadway and went into the backyard of a home on Gardner Road, where deputies say he hit the tree and then left.
Mastowski was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was issued multiple traffic citations and released to a sober third party.
