Superstar singer Kelly Clarkson and her family are mourning the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died from cancer on August 7 at the age of 48. Clarkson and Blackstock were married from 2013 to 2020 and share two children — River Rose, 11, and Remington "Remy", 9.
In Blackstock's obituary, it came to light that he had been in a relationship with a woman named Brittney Marie Jones.
"Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana," reads the obituary.

Jones was previously married to Greg "Goose" Lapoint, according to her Facebook page, and in a bit of randomness, Lapoint is a musician who played drums for the legendary John Fogerty of the iconic band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
In a Facebook video, Lapoint was playing for The Nashville King, a musical biography of Elvis Presley, until April 2019, when he moved to Los Angeles to begin playing drums for Fogerty.
According to 96.1 The Eagle, Lapoint started filling in for drummer Kenny Aronoff in 2018 before he later moved to LA to play for Fogerty full-time, though it doesn't look like he plays for Fogerty anymore. On his LinkedIn page, Lapoint says he drummed for Fogerty for "a two-year period."

In an interview, Lapoint told The Eagle that he grew up with music because his father was a drummer in a wedding band, so when the school band came around, he started drumming in school, and the rest is history. He played his first real gig at the age of 15 when a local band needed a drummer and ended up "letting go of the old drummer" and hiring Lapoint.
He later moved to Nashville, and things really "snowballed" from there when Lapoint got a chance to do merchandise for Fogerty and then ended up getting to audition for him.
"Things escalated quickly and I'm now the drummer, literally filling the shoes of someone I used to listen to on a day to day basis (Aronoff) on all those No. 1 records he played on," said Lapoint, adding, "It's going really well…at first, it was a bit overwhelming because you have the pressure of that expectation of not only John but everyone there to see you perform. You either rise up or you crash. At the end of the day, I trained my whole life for this. I'm not gonna screw it up now…oh my god, I finally did it, I got to play a massive show with a rock legend for my friends and family. I'm very grateful."
