While McDonald's doesn't specify exactly what the Mt. McDonaldland Shake is supposed to taste like, the consensus is that it's a hybrid of cotton candy and blue raspberry. And that it's the highest degree of sugar overload. "The shake is very sweet—sickeningly sweet," wrote the Delaware News Journal. With 64 grams of sugar in the smallest sized shake, it's no wonder.
McDonald's employees on Reddit agreed—the shake's sweetness was absolutely cloying. "I might change the calibration settings to have it dispense less syrup," one of them suggested in an attempt to make the shake more drinkable. "[It] upset my stomach so bad," wrote another.
