ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Temperatures reached into the 90s for the 11th time this summer, and for a third day in a row on Tuesday, giving us our 2nd heat wave of the summer. A select few some some beneficial rain on Tuesday with isolated showers and storms, but Wednesday will feature a better chance of some scattered showers and a few storms, which means a better chance at some much needed rainfall. This will also keep our temperatures held back into the lower to mid 80s. We’ll likely see two chances for rain – one in the morning, and another in the afternoon with the arrival of a cold front.
This front will bring back very comfortable air with low humidity, and more seasonable temperatures in the lower half of the 80s. We’ll also see rain chances going away with dry weather and a mostly sunny sky Thursday and Friday.
Saturday will turn warm once again, with highs flirting with 90 degrees and a mostly sunny sky. Sunday likely will be a few degrees cooler with some clouds and the slight chance of a few showers or a storm. Still, the weekend is looking pretty good for outdoor activities.
