Missouri State University will have four transfers joining them this fall. El Fallaki arrives from NJIT, Jack Ailshire arrives from Auburn, Mate Miszlai from William Carey (NAIA), and Tomas Chocholaty from Utah.
Fallaki was a two time America East Conference champion this past season, posting lifetime bests in the 500 free (4:21.99) and 1650 free (15:26.51). Both of those times would have lead the team this past season with his 1650 free being the fastest by over 30 seconds. He is a huge addition as he would have won the Missouri Valley Conference titles in both events as well.
Ailshire arrives from Auburn where he swam to a lifetime best 47.00 100 fly to close his season at the James E Martin Invite. He did not swim at the 2025 SEC Championships. His lifetime best would have been 4th at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship this past season and would have been the fastest on Missouri State’s roster.
Miszlai swam to two individual NAIA titles this past season for William Carey University. He won the 500 free in a 4:23.81 and the 200 back in a 1:44.62. Like Fallaki, Miszlai’s 500 free time would have led the team this past season and won the Missouri Valley Conference title so the two will have the ability to train with one another. Miszlai’s 200 back would have been 2nd at the Missouri Valley Championships only behind Miami’s Jenson Nelson who won in a 1:43.34.
Chocholaty finished his season with Utah at the Big 12 Championships. There he was 18th in the 1650 free in a 15:30.47, 23rd in the 400 IM in a 3:58.26 but swam a lifetime best 3:56.48 in prelims, and was also 27th in the 500 free (4:28.89). His 1650 free time would have won the Missouri Valley Conference title while his 400 IM would have been 7th.
The Missouri State men finished 3rd out of seven teams this past season at the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Championships. They team scored 602.5 points, finishing behind Southern Illinois (691.5 points) and Miami-Ohio (820 points). With these additions, the team looks to be a top contender for the conference title this upcoming season and could have numerous 1-2 finishes especially in the distance events.
