The Missouri Gaming Commission will award the Show-Me State’s first two online sports betting licenses by the end of this week.
Gaming regulators will award two untethered Missouri online sports betting licenses on Friday, Aug. 15. Three applicants – DraftKings, FanDuel, and Circa Sports – will present their cases to the Missouri Gaming Commission on Wednesday, Aug. 13, for the two valuable untethered licenses.
Untethered license holders do not have to partner with a Missouri casino or professional sports franchise for market access.
Representatives Heading To Commission
Alan Ellingson, CFO for DraftKings, Rich Cooper, Vice President, Regulatory, for FanDuel, and Derek Stevens, CEO/COO for Circa Sports, are scheduled to present their applications to the Missouri Gaming Commission tomorrow at 9 a.m. CST.
DraftKings, FanDuel, and Circa Sports have applied for two available Missouri untethered online sports betting licenses. Untethered license holders do not have to partner with any other entity in the state to do business, and therefore do not have to share revenues with their market access partners.
Missouri sports betting will launch on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025. If awarded a license, DraftKings Missouri promo bets will be a hot commodity as the Show-Me State gets closer to launch.
The Missouri Gaming Commission has also received sports betting applications from Underdog Sportsbook Missouri and Fanatics Sportsbook Missouri, but neither have announced their market access partners as of yet.

Sports Betting Supplier Applications Coming In
In addition to operator license applications, the Missouri Gaming Commission has reported receiving several sports betting supplier license applications as well.
