ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is set to get a new route to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Allegiant announced on Tuesday that it’s adding a new route between Rochester and Sarasota, Florida. Flights to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport begin on Feb. 13. One-way fares start at $59.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said the route will offer low-cost access to a beach vacation or an eco-tour of the mangrove tunnel for people in Rochester.
Back in May, Rochester added four new routes when Breeze Airways began its new services. In addition, Avelo Airlines began its nonstop flights to Nashville in April.
