Ella Langley might have let her fans down by cancelling the remainder of her shows for the month of August, but the country songstress is putting herself — including her physical and mental health — first.
The “weren’t for the wind” singer shared the news via Instagram today (August 11), detailing why she made “the hard decision” to cancel her August shows. The impacted tour dates are as follows:
Nevertheless, she wrote, "I’m so sad to be posting this. The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health — mind, body, and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself."
The Alabama native continued, “Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down. I’m so grateful for your understanding and your love — it truly means the world to me."
To follow, she shared the Bible verse Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Swiping to the next image, Langley then revealed that she will be dropping out of her performances in Cleveland, Nashville, Bonner-West Riverside, Idaho Pals, Nampa and Morrison.
"I'll be back on the road in September, ready to give you my all,” she wrote to conclude the Instagram post. The country superstar's first performance scheduled for September is on September 6 at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, so we can expect her grand return then.

While the Instagram post addresses her physical health alone, Langley has opened up about her mental health struggles in the past as well, specifically during ACM Awards week earlier this year,
"I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time,” she shared during an interview with Audacy’s The Scotty Kay Show. “Which is crazy, because so many good things are happening. So many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about.”
Continuing my sharing that her family has a history of mental health struggles, Langley eventually concluded, “I think it’s important to talk about it. Just because I might seem like I’m on the top of the mountain right now, it doesn’t look like that all the time.”
Could this be because of her oh-so awkward love triangle with Riley Green and Megan Moroney?
While there is no way to know for sure, our heart goes out to the "you look like you love me singer" during this tough time. For all the updates, it's safe to say we will be keeping up with her on Instagram at @ellalangleymusic.
