With fall right around the corner (followed by the holidays), one of Disney World's busiest seasons is almost upon us. And in the midst of all the madness and magic, there are a few big changes coming to some of the resort's most popular hotels.
As All Ears pointed out this week, guests planning to stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, Contemporary Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, and Animal Kingdom Lodge are going to want to brace for closures in the coming months, along with anyone who's planning to stay on a resort on the Skyliner in early 2026.

Here's what you need to know about the changes:
At Pop Century Resort, construction is happening in multiple areas around the hotel. The lobby is under refurbishment until October, while some of the guest rooms around the hotel are undergoing a refurbishment of their own through March 2026, which means if you're staying here, you might not have the prettiest views — and you'll likely hear some construction noise.
At the Contemporary Resort, construction is happening near the resort's quick service dining location, Contempo Café, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. This means that if you get hungry midday, you'll probably hear some noise.
At Coronado Springs Resort, the Cabanas leisure pool will be under refurbishment from August 17-24, but fortunately, the main pool and the other leisure pool will still be open.
At Animal Kingdom Lodge, various refurbishments are happening between now and January 2027 at both the Kidani Village and Jambo House areas (but not all at the same time, fortunately!).

Anyone planning to stay in a resort on the Disney Skyliner — which includes Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera — in January will also want to be aware that the Skyliner will be closed for routine maintenance from January 25-31, but buses will be available for park transportation instead.
If you are traveling during these times and will be affected by any of these changes, don't worry; your vacation will still be just as magical. Disney has a way of keeping disturbances to a minimum, no matter what projects might be in the works.
