LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) - Two people are in police custody after a man was found dead in a wooded area near his home Saturday in Lancaster.

Neighbors said the area around where the body was found – the 700 block of South Maple Street -- was a quiet place, with children often outside playing, but normally nothing like the commotion they saw Saturday.
"I know pretty much everybody down here, it’s pretty quiet,” Tristen Walker, who was out riding a skateboard in the neighborhood Sunday, said. “It's just, very surprising thing because it's just quiet little neighborhood right here. Very surprising.”
The next update from police will likely be the identification of the man who was found in a shallow grave in the woods, but neighbors believe they already know who it is.
"He was really kind,” Walker said of the suspected victim. “I've heard he would donate a lot of money to charities. These kids lived down here, he's really nice with them. He would take them riding on his golf cart a lot. He would try to be nice and stuff for them. I was kind of surprised hearing something happened. Like, just this close, with someone that was that close and someone I talked to. I mean, he was out here on his golf cart, and we rode in just, like, not that long ago, last week," Walker said.
