KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Six people escaped without injury from a Yoder Hill Road home on fire early Sunday morning.
When firefighters arrived at around 1:39 a.m., the fire had spread from the deck into the east side of the house, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. Branchport and Keuka Park firefighters put the fire out before it could spread to any other structures, with mutual-aid assistance by Penn Yan, Potter, Benton and Bellona fire departments.
The Yates County Fire Investigation Team determined the cause to be accidental.
