ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three people went to local hospitals with gunshot wounds after shots were fired Saturday night on North Clinton Avenue.
The gunshots were among multiple incidents where police responded in the North Clinton area Saturday night, including a large disorderly crowd spanning several blocks which shut down part of the street, and an RTS bus that became trapped and abandoned. Police responded to several 911 calls for shots fired in the area of North Clinton Avenue and Morrill Street, and more gunshots were detected in the area of 1100-1104 North Clinton.
One woman was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound, and while police were clearing the crowds and collecting evidence, two more people showed up at Rochester General Hospital with gunshot wounds. The victims — two women and a man, all adults — had all been shot in the lower body, and their injuries are considered not to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this time.
