Lindsay Lohan recently opened up about her all-time favorite movies, surprising fans with a list that includes two beloved classics from the '90s.
While on the press tour for her new film Freakier Friday, the 39-year-old actress told Letterboxd, a social media platform for movie lovers to track, review and discover films, her Top 4 films. Julia Butters, who plays Lohan's daughter in the film, is sitting right next to her.
The first movie on Lohan's list was the 1950 film, All About Eve, which follows aspiring actress Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter). Eve shows up in the dressing room of Broadway star Margo Channing (Bette Davis) and tells her and her friends her sad life story. Eventually, Margo takes Eve under her wing, but it appears that Eve is a conniver who uses Margo.
"Bette Davis in that movie, you just can't take your eyes off her. It's one of those movies you can never remake because it's so perfect," Lohan expressed with a smile on her face. "But that would be the dream role to play. Just because it's incredible. Just the dialogue in it."
Then, the Mean Girls actress expressed her love for the 1995 thriller film Casino, which earned its place as second. Set in 1970s Las Vegas, Sam Rothstein (Robert De Niro) is asked to head the Tangiers Casino. At first, he is very successful, but over the years, problems begin to happen when Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci), his ex-hustler wife Ginger (Sharon Stone), her con-artist ex Lester Diamond (James Woods) and a handful of corrupt politicians put Sam in danger.
Lohan then emphasized her love for Stone's character, saying that "the way she's dressed, and the way that she just commands the room when she comes in on the screen when she's in that movie." She also mentioned how she loves De Niro in the movie as well, especially in the scene where he is wearing a pink suit.
Her next movie that Lohan put on her list is Jon M. Chu's 2018 film, Crazy Rich Asians. The actress says that the film "makes [her] so happy" and that she "could just watch it over and over." Butters also adds that Crazy Rich Asians is "a good plane movie."
Based on the 2013 novel with the same title, follows Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor, who accompanies her wealthy boyfriend Nick Young (Henry Golding) to Singapore for his best friend's wedding.
For the last spot on her list, Lohan could not decide between Bye Bye Birdie or Pretty Woman. She ultimately chosethe latter as her fourth favorite movie, because she loves the scenes where Julia Roberts' character, Vivian Ward, takes the wig off with her curly red hair and she is wearing a robe while eating pancakes, as well as the scene where she's singing Prince in the bathtub. The 1990 romcom follows Hollywood escort Vivian, who is hired to escort Edward (Richard Gere) for several business and social functions, and their relationship develops during her week-long stay with him.
