Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s Hunting and Fishing Academy is now accepting applications for its upcoming youth dove and deer hunts, providing immersive and educational outdoor experiences for youth and their families this fall and winter.
These mentored hunts are designed for youth ages 9 to 16 and provide a safe, hands-on introduction tohunting in Tennessee. Led by trained hunting guides, each event emphasizes safety, conservation, andskill-building for first-time and novice hunters.
“Whether it’s their first time holding a firearm or their first time in the field, these hunts are designed toguide youth every step of the way,” said Jeb Beasley, Hunting and Fishing Academy manager. “We wantthem to walk away with new skills, a better understanding of Tennessee’s wildlife, and a lastingconnection to the outdoors.”

Upcoming Youth Deer Hunts ● Oct. 24-26 — Decatur, Dickson, Jackson, Jonesborough, Westmoreland ● Jan. 9-11 — Decatur, Jackson
To participate, youth must complete a certified hunter education course and acquire the appropriateTennessee hunting license before the event. A parent or guardian is required to attend.
