Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans is ringing in her son Jace’s 16th birthday in lavish style.
Jenelle, 33, shared photos of herself and Jace enjoying a helicopter ride via Instagram on Tuesday, August 5, in celebration of his sweet 16.
“To the young man that made me a mother #HappyBirthday Jace, 16 years young! You’re the most ambitious and caring boy I know,” she wrote alongside photos and videos of them enjoying the excursion and a dinner date. “Seeing you get through trials and tribulations of life and still come out on top makes me so proud! .”
In the pictures, Jenelle, in a pink floral maxi dress, and Jace, in a simple T-shirt and jeans, smiled for the camera before and after the chopper ride over a rugged landscape. They then posed for a picture seemingly inside a restaurant, where they enjoyed steaks, roasted carrots and mac and cheese.

Jace is Jenelle’s first child, whom she welcomed with ex Andrew Lewis in 2009. Her pregnancy and birth was documented on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant in 2010, and Jenelle went on to star on the spinoff series Teen Mom 2 from 2011 to 2019. She also shares son Kaiser, 11, with ex Nathan Griffith and daughter Ensley, 8, with ex-husband David Eason, whom she separated from in March 2024 after six years of marriage.
Their divorce was finalized in July 2025.
“After a really long and draining process, my divorce from David is official,” Jenelle told TMZ in a statement at the time. “This chapter has been heavy, but I’m walking away from it with clarity, strength and so much love for my kids. My focus is on them and our future and I’m just thankful to finally have peace and a fresh start.”

Jenelle spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about their split in June, explaining that infidelity was a reported factor.
“I think he cheated on me with his ex-wife,” she told Us before her “I Do, I Did, I’m Done” divorce party at Spearmint Rhino in New York. “When those text messages came out, that was pretty much the breaking point.”
In October 2023, David allegedly sent his ex-wife text messages claiming he wished he could “turn back the clock.” He denied the allegations and addressed the texts with Celebuzz, saying, “That’s not cheating but I have mountains of evidence about her cheating.” (Jenelle has also denied being unfaithful.)

Jenelle, who now calls Las Vegas home, told Us that there were many problems in her marriage to David.
“His attitude that he had, putting everyone in a bad mood all the time,” she explained. “Everyone was walking on eggshells and I’m like, I don’t have to live like this and I don’t have to stay together just because we have kids.”
Jenelle was involved in several controversies throughout her time on Teen Mom 2 and was arrested 15 times. She briefly lost custody of Kaiser and Ensley in 2019, and, after 13 years under grandmother Barbara Evans’ care, Jenelle regained full custody of Jace in March 2023.
MTV cut ties with Jenelle after David tweeted homophobic remarks in 2018 and shot and killed Jenelle’s dog in 2019.
