French butterfly and freestyle specialist Ethan Dumesnil, who swims with Olympique Nouméa in Nouméa, New Caledonia, has sent his verbal commitment to Tennessee for the fall of 2025.
I am very excited to announce that for the next four years I will be giving my best to the University of Tennessee in and out of the water ! I am very blessed to receive this kind of opportunity. Huge thanks to Coach Kredich and Caleb for believing in me. My team INSEP and all my former coaches for their support, my parents/family, and my beloved Island New Caledonia !
Last but not least I would like to thank @bsathleticsfr for assisting me all along this process. GO VOLS !
Dumesnil recently competed at the World Championships in Singapore as a part of France’s men’s 4×100 free relay that finished 11th, splitting 48.27 on the third leg (a position he earned after finishing.
Prior to Worlds, Dumesnil finished 4th in the 100 free in 48.67 (a new lifetime best and qualifying him for World Championships as a part of the men’s 4×100 free relay), 6th in the 50 fly (23.60, a new all time personal best), 6th in the 100 fly (52.77), and 18th in the 50 free (22.94, a new personal best standard).
