ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police now know what lead up to a triple shooting in June, and have a suspect in custody.
Three people were wounded in that shooting, which happened on State Street, in the area between Smith and Jay streets. Police say two men, ages 43 and 47, and one woman, 40, were brought to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say the shooting broke out during an argument as late-night party was letting out. Officials say that’s when the suspect, 35-year-old Tyrese Beard, pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds.
The RPD, U.S. Marshals, and NYS Troopers found Beard over a month later during a traffic stop on North Clinton Avenue. That was on Tuesday, August 5. Beard was arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail, and faces the following charges:
