GENEVA, N.Y. — A 36-year-old woman from Seneca Falls is facing multiple charges after Geneva Police say she was driving drunk while a four-year-old was in the back seat.
Police say on Aug. 2 at about midnight, they responded to Lafayette Avenue for a report of a sick / intoxicated driver complaint.
Officers found Vanessa Grady next to a car that was parked on Lafayette Avenue. After investigating, police say they found Grady was the driver of the car, and they also found a four-year-old in the car.
After completing standardized field sobriety tests, officer say they found Grady was driving while drunk. They say they later found out she was driving with a BAC of .22% which is nearly three times the legal limit.
Grady was charged with the following:
Driving while intoxicated Driving while intoxicated (Aggravated with child under 16 years old) Aggravated driving while intoxicated Endangering the welfare of a child Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degreeAn additional charge of felony DWI (Leandra’s Law) was also issued.
