As fan-favorite character Albert on the classic series Little House on the Prairie, Matthew Labyorteaux (sometimes spelled "Laborteaux") inspired countless crushes among young viewers. Now the former teen actor is all grown up, but one thing hasn't changed — the 58-year-old is still apparently a heartthrob.
In an interview shared to TikTok this week, Labyorteaux opened up about the challenges of filming Little House as a kid, noting that he fell down "all the time."
"We were out in the woods, and we would film very early in the morning when it was so cold that there was frost on the ground," he recalled.

"And the shoes that we wore back then to look like old-fashioned shoes were just sort of a flat-bottom shoe, and we'd start running and you'd try to stop and just go 'whoop! bam' and just fall," he continued, laughing. "And you'd get up and just keep running, you couldn't — I mean, you're a kid actor, you just have to go on with the show."
Commenters seemed too distracted by Labyorteaux's ageless good looks to concentrate on his amusing anecdote.
"I love Albert he was my favorite I had a crush on him back then," one person wrote, with a second adding, "Sexy then, sexy now."

In a 2021 interview with Page Six, Labyorteaux admitted that he didn't even realize how beloved he was at the height of his stardom.
“I think some people just loved to sort of roll around in that and just enjoy the accolades and the girls chasing after you,” he said.
“I was a shy, shy kid. I had my animals. I really didn’t know that I was popular," he continued, adding, “I mean, you’d walk into a restaurant and people turn and whisper, ask for an autograph or whatever. And other than that, I didn’t feel like I was the peacock walking down the street, to be honest."
