AMHERST, N.Y. — According to our affiliate in Buffalo, WGRZ, deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office say four people from Western New York who were reported missing in West Virginia have been found dead.
In a Facebook post, deputies say on Aug. 2, the victims were found near their car, which fell off a steep embankment along Big Wheeling Creek Road. They say first responders were there for over five hours.
The victims were identified as Dr. Kishore Divan, Mrs. Asha Divan, Mr. Shailesh Divan, and Mrs. Gita Divan. Our affiliate says they were traveling from Buffalo to the Palace of Gold on McCreary’s Ridge Road in Marshall County, West Virginia.
The Divans were last seen on July 29 when they were detected on a Pennsylvania State trooper’s license plate reader while traveling south on I-79, our affiliate says.
The sheriff’s office says they are still investigating and will give more information when the investigation is complete.
