DENVER (KDVR) — Police are seeking the public's help to locate a shooting suspect from an early morning shooting on Sunday, according to a post on X from the Aurora Police Department.
The suspect, identified as Jordan Castellano-Fonesca, 30, is wanted in connection with an alleged shooting that occurred at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Cimarron Circle in Aurora.
Preliminary information from the APD's Major Crime Homicide Unit reports that the shooting stemmed from a possible domestic violence incident, during which Castellano-Fonesca threatened to come back to the apartments with a gun.
The shooting occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday when the suspect forced his way into an apartment and fired shots. The apartment had two adults and five children from the ages of one to 15 inside it, police said.
One of the victims was a 26-year-old woman who died at the scene of the shooting, and the other victim was a 30-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
None of the children were injured during the incident.
Castellano-Foseca drove away from the scene in a green Acura MDX with a Colorado license plate of CVO668.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call 911 immediately or call the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may receive a reward up to $2,000, according to the department.
