Michelle Duggar made a rare appearance during her daughter Jessa Seawald’s (née Duggar) birth vlog as she geared up to welcome baby No. 6.
In the YouTube video, Jessa, 32, took fans along the days leading up to her birth as she patiently waited for her water to break.
“Tomorrow is my due date. I had a visit with my OB a few days ago. I was dilated to 2 [centimeters and was] 50 percent effaced, and I lost my mucus plug a few days ago,” Jessa shared on the Saturday, August 2, post. “Other than that, [I] haven’t had any signs of labor. So, just waiting it out.”
Jessa shared that she tried different remedies to help induce her labor, none of which worked.
“I’m still having Braxton Hicks contractions, and such. For me, my history has been that when I go into labor, I always feel contractions heavily in my back,” the 19 Kids and Counting alum explained. “I haven’t had any of those real contractions at this point. So, waiting it out.”
At the end of the video, which teased the second part of the vlog, Jessa’s water broke while she was lying on the couch at Michelle’s house.
Fans watched Jessa in a hospital bed as she was in labor, but viewers paid attention to the bottom of the screen as the family matriarch guided her daughter through the birth process.
“Oh my GOSH! How much do I LOVE your relationship with Michelle. It's SOOOOOOOO special,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the post. “I have two daughters and I hope they let me love on them and care for them and want me around the way you girls do your Mom. What a blessing.”
