Dancing With the Stars champ and Bachelorette lead Hannah Brown fell ill while on her honeymoon. The former reality television star shared an update with fans on social media while in Croatia with her husband, Adam Woolard.
"I promise to do a more in depth recap soon…but for now I need everyone to know I survived diarrhetic shellfish poisoning and I'm back to enjoying the honeymoon," Brown wrote on her Instagram Stories on August 3.
According to the Washington State Department of Health, diarrhetic shellfish poisoning is found in bivalve shellfish, which can include clams, oysters, muscles and scallops. People who experience this type of sickness usually suffer from "severe diarrhea, may be nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and chills" that can begin within 30 minutes of eating the toxins.

Thankfully, Brown appears to be feeling much better. In a photo that she shared on her Instagram Stories, she looked happy as she sipped on a pink drink while relaxing on a lounge chair near a beach.
The newlywed included a question box on her Instagram Stories, asking fans to share their "honeymoon mishap stories."
Brown married Woolard on July 26 in Paris.
