A 31-year-old man has died after a hit-and-run crash in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood Sunday.
According to Chicago police, the man was discovered lying on the street in the 7600 block of South Stewart Avenue at approximately 3:23 a.m. Sunday.
The man was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Preliminary investigations determined that the man had died after being struck by a vehicle, but no further information was immediately available.
There has been no vehicle description provided by police at this time, with Area Two detectives still working on the case.
