Celsius Wild Response to High Noon Recall Has Fans Saying the Same Thing

Celsius is speaking out about the recent High Noon recall, and it isn't holding back.

The popular energy drink brand has been using the unfortunate mishap to its best advantage, turning "lemons into lemonade" as many fans have suggested.

In case you missed it, in a July 29 announcement, High Noon–the alcoholic seltzer brand–revealed it had filled the empty Celsius Energy Drink cans that were mistakenly shipped by the two companies' shared supplier with alcohol, boxed and distributed them as normal. The two recalled production lots of mislabeled cans, which looked like Celsius Energy Drinks but contained High Noon alcohol, were shipped to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin before being sent out to retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23.

The mixup, other than sparking concerns about unintentional alcohol consumption, also triggered a series of "wild" Instagram posts from the energy drink's social team that in no way condone the situation, but as several social media users pointed out, do a pretty good job at making the best of the worrisome issue.

"What are y’all sippin on this weekend?" the first post read, featuring a picture of the recalled Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Raspberry flavor.

"High noon apparently ???," one top-liked comment replied.

"Love your product but have you considered an NA version?" a second teased. "Thanks!"

    "Celtzer," a third simply chuckled.

"The social media marketing team deserves a ???? for this ?," another applauded.

The company's second post was a little too on the nose, for some, reading "Tag your friends…it’s happy hour."

One fan, who admitted to drinking Celsius "everyday" while being sober for 11 years, pushed back, saying the company shouldn't be joking, noting that its decision to capitalize on "something that could have hurt people who are sober and love your products is a choice."

While many agree the mixup is not a joking matter, they do appreciate Celsius' decision to acknowledge it in a way that absolves the energy company of responsibility and, in turn, brings more attention to the very important matter at hand: the actual recall linked in its Instagram bio.

"the shade ?," another fan replied.

"Turning lemons into lemonade ?," a third suggested.

"you guys are freaking wild," someone else added in part.

"top tier marketing!" one more declared. "love this."

Oh, but Celsius didn't stop there.

For its third and final post (thus far), the company shared an image of a slim can koozie branded to look like a Celsius can, captioning it: "If you wanted to borrow a shirt, all you had to do was ask…"

"The social team deserves a raise ???," a second quipped.

"Ok go offffff ??," someone else shared before a different social media user said, "Yall wild for this ?."

"Great PR team. ?? Humans aren’t perfect. Accidents happen. Love my Celsius. ❤️," one more added.

Controversial social media posts aside, the fact of the matter is, the recall is real and it's serious.

According to the official notice, the mislabeled cans were shipped in High Noon 12-pack Beach Variety Packs with the lot codes L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to  L CCC 17JL25 23:59 OR L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 03:00.
