DENVER (KDVR) -- One person is dead and another is injured following a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 25 near the northbound ramp on Speer Boulevard early Saturday.
The Denver Police Department, which first posted on X about the incident at 1:33 a.m., told FOX31 that two people took off from the "at-fault" vehicle after the crash, while another person from the same vehicle was found outside the vehicle and later died after being transported to the hospital.
DPD said the crash occured after the driver in the at-fault vehicle was speeding and hit another vehicle after swerving. The vehicle that was hit spun out, while the at fault vehicle went up the northbound ramp, hit a barrier and rolled over, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
