In other words, the duo is partnering up to create a seamless one-stop destination at certain Best Buy stores with inspiring 1,000-square-foot IKEA displays of kitchen and laundry room setups. At ten select locations, shoppers will have access to kitchen and storage planning services along with support and advice from store experts where the two retailers bring their greatest strengths together.
As Best Buy's chief merchandising officer, Patrick McGinnis explains "we get to combine technology and design and show shoppers what's truly possible in their home like never before."
Best Buy will highlight its “latest and greatest major appliances,” while IKEA will showcase its “functional and affordable home furnishings.” A first-ever for IKEA, since its products and services have never been available at another U.S. retailer before.

These new shopping experiences are coming to Best Buy's in the following ten cities across Florida and Texas this fall:
Boynton Beach, FLDaytona Beach, FLLakeland, FLMelbourne, FL Waterford Lakes, FLAlamo Ranch, TXHulen, TX Humble, TXMesquite, TXSouth Austin, TXAdditionally, shoppers who visit the Lakeland, Florida and Alamo Ranch, Texas locations will enjoy extra perks. Because the two will serve as pick-up points for IKEA shoppers.
Aka, shoppers can snag most of IKEA’s U.S. products for free at these Best Buy's either purchased from the Best Buy design experience or from IKEA’s website.
Chief operation officer of IKEA U.S. Rob Olson says that this partnership is ultimately “a great step on our journey to helping people create beautiful, functional homes at a price they can afford.”
