Yesterday's Shanghai Masters semi-final threw up a close-fought matchup as the first spot in the final was secured.
Eighth seed and 2011 winner Mark Selby, who himself knocked out defending champion Judd Trump in the previous round, was seen off by Ali Carter.
After managing to come from behind in the last 16 and quarter-finals to defeat Mark Williams and Xiao Guodong, Carter once again managed to recover from 8-6 down to earn his place in the final.
Now, we turn our eyes to the second semi-final to see who will take to the table opposite Carter in tomorrow's final for that £210,000 first prize.
