(KRON) -- A suspect who twice fired a military-style rifle near Wildcat Canyon Regional Park Thursday night was found to have a large quantity of ammunition, said the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department.

Several people, including a group of cyclists, heard the commotion and alerted police. The suspect, who was not identified, was taken into custody without incident after officers arrived at the location.
"Officers found a .300 Blackout rifle, a homemade suppressor, composite knuckles, and roughly 40 rounds of ammunition," said authorities in a social media post.
