Additionally, it's not yet clear whether Blunt's original co-stars Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds will similarly return for the new film.
In the past, all three stars (alongside Krasinski) himself appeared in the opening chapter to the Quiet Place franchise, which sees a survivalist family navigating a post-apocalyptic world overrun by sound-sensitive aliens.
Krasinski personally co-wrote and directed the film's initial installment, before once again taking over filmmaking responsibilities for its 2020 sequel, A Quiet Place Part II.
More recently, the series returned with a standalone prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, which follows the earliest days of the alien invasion from the perspective of a terminal cancer patient (Lupita Nyong'o) and a young law student (Joseph Quinn).
Since the series began in 2018, A Quiet Place has continued to rake in an assortment of positive reviews, as well as making a resonating splash at the box office with its combined $900 million gross.
