ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Fire Department battled a fire at a home on Cameron Street Thursday night.
The fire department says they responded to the fire at around 10:47 p.m. Thursday. When they got there, they found a working fire in the kitchen.
Fire crews put out the fire before it got to the upper part of the home. Crews were able to put the fire out in just under an hour.
There were no injuries reported and the Red Cross was called to help with emergency housing for an adult and two children.
This fire was only blocks away from a massive five-alarm fire on Dewey Avenue and Lyell that also happened Thursday.

The fire department says these two fires were unrelated.
