SHEDEUR Sanders has been hit with yet another embarrassing moment after the Cleveland Browns’ owner revealed a message.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam discussed the decision to draft Sanders, who suffered a brutal slide in the 2025 NFL Draft back in April.
Once projected as a first-round pick, Sanders was selected in the fifth round amid teams’ fears over his maturity and on-field performance.
The Browns eventually took the Colorado Buffaloes product with the No. 144 pick.
On Tuesday, Browns team owner Haslam revealed who was behind the selection of Sanders.
“We have good process. We had a conversation early that morning and then we had a conversation later that day,” Haslam told reporters.
“I think we had the right people involved in the conversation.
“And the end of the day, that’s [general manager] Andrew Berry’s call.
“Andrew made the call to pick Shedeur.”
Haslam appeared to distance himself from the move to draft Sanders.
His comments come after Berry called out Sanders for his behavior off the field this offseason.
Since Sanders joined the Browns, he has been hit with two speeding tickets.
Berry opened up about the issue at the start of training camp.
“Not smart, just not smart,” he admitted.
“It’s something that we’ve addressed with him.
“Look, he understands the implications, he understands the consequences.

“It’s not just about having a joyride, but that you could injure other people.
“A deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, it’s just dangerous.”
Sanders has mostly practiced with the third and fourth teams during training camp.

The Browns will have to decide on who will be the starter for Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 7.
