During his time as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast, Davidson actually performed in a musical parody skit alongside the Wu-Tang Clan rapper, paying homage to their home borough by turning Marc Cohn‘s “Walking in Memphis” to “Walking in Staten.”
“Put on my bootleg Jordans and get on the train/ Yeah we got like 80 bagel spots and every block has a pizza place,” Davidson raps. “Yeah, we’re walking in Staten.”
Elsewhere in the interview, host Sean Evans confirmed Davidson’s claim that his good buddy Machine Gun Kelly was the first person to coin the term “The Last Dab” for the signature splash of hot sauce on the final spicy wing to complete the challenge.
Davidson is a very busy man this summer. He stars in the horror movie The Home, which hit theaters on Friday (July 25), and appears alongside Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer in Amazon’s upcoming The Pickup film.
The 31-year-old is also getting ready for daddy duties, as he and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are gearing up to welcome their first child together. The couple made their first red-carpet appearance together over the weekend in support of The Pickup since announcing their bundle of joy was on the way.
