It's safe to say that Christopher Atkins had one of the most famous manes of hair to ever appear on the big screen.
The actor, who starred alongside Brooke Shields in the iconic 1980 film The Blue Lagoon, rose to superstardom for his role in the film, in which he and Shields portrayed two teens who were marooned on a tropical island as children, and then grew up and fell in love.
Atkins, 64, is looking happy and healthy these days and was caught running errands by the Daily Mail. However, without that trademark head of curly blond hair, he's nearly unrecognizable.
Pictured in Southport, Connecticut, Atkins still looked like he was dressed for an exotic island. Wearing tropical shorts, flip-flops, and a tank top, the actor pumped gas and ran errands. His hair is still platinum blonde, however.

Back in December, Atkins joined Shields on her Now What? podcast and talked about how a movie like Blue Lagoon, which had extensive nudity, "wouldn't be allowed" to be made these days.
"You were right next to me, and that was even stranger because you were only 14 at the time," Atkins said, Entertainment Weekly reported. "There were scenes that I was butt-naked with you, if you remember, sliding down that slide and things like that. And that was a little awkward, but it was kind of funny for me because, at this point, I just did it. But your reaction was, 'Ugh, oh God.'"
"I was like, 'Oh God, why do I have to look at this?'" Shields recalled. "'I've never seen one of those before, and I'm not going to start now!'"
Atkins isn't shying away from the camera these days either. He's featured in Playgirl's July 2025 issue, Parade previously reported.
