In honor of Hall of Fame Weekend, teams around Major League Baseball are wearing throwback hats to commemorate the occasion, including the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The D-backs are wearing their vintage purple hats with the teal logo this weekend at the Pittsburgh Pirates with a Hall of Fame patch on the side.
They are not donning throwback jerseys, however, as they are otherwise wearing their typical road attire for a blend of eras with colors that don’t totally match. Players did their best with purple accessories.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have opted for, what appears to be a (one helluva beautiful) Dave Parker inspired combo (black pants too!), instead of their HOF Weekend caps.

The Pirates’ hats looked a bit more natural with their black and gold uniforms, as Pittsburgh wore their 1970s pillbox hats with the Stargell Stars, which Hall of Famer Willie Stargell awarded teammates back in the day.
The Pirates also wore special patches on their uniforms to honor the late Dave Parker, who will be enshrined in Cooperstown on Sunday. He died earlier this year after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. The patch says “Cobra,” Parker’s nickname.
