UNITED Airlines bosses are set to suspend the carrier’s sole route to a tourist hotspot in just weeks.
Customers who travel with the airline and want to head directly to Havana, Cuba, will be unable to do so from September 2.
That’s because United has filed papers announcing its intention to pause flights from Houston to Havana.
Travelers can only book tickets for a direct flight up until September 1.
United bosses say the suspension will be in place for the entirety of the winter 2025-26 season, according to papers seen by The U.S. Sun.
Flights will not restart before the beginning of the summer 2026 season.
But, bosses have not ruled out the possibility of the flights making a return at some point.
The U.S. Sun has approached United Airlines for comment.
