IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The man arrested in the Dominican Republic and extradited to Monroe County in the murder of an Irondequoit family is due in court on Friday afternoon.
Luis Soriano is scheduled to be arraigned in Monroe County Court. He and his brother are accused of killing a couple and the couple’s two children, 2 and 4, in their home on Knapp Avenue late last August. Police say the father, 30-year-old Fraime Ubaldo, was the cousin of the brothers.
Luis’ brother, Julio Soriano, appeared in court on Wednesday and had his trial date set for February. Prosecutors aim to try the brothers together.
U.S. Marshals arrested Luis Soriano in early June, nine months after the murders. His brother has been in police custody since last September.
