ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Reminding the city of its natural wonders. That was the goal of Thursday’s “Dinner on the Bridge,” fundraiser.
Local nonprofit Greentopia gathered supporters on Rochester’s Pont de Rennes Bridge for a night of dinning, music, and even a laser show.
Organizers say the reason they chose that bridge was to get people interested in the site of the future High Falls State Park.

“Look, we have a 96 foot high waterfall, we have a river and a gorge. Let’s celebrate, let’s bring people back to the river, and let’s make a park,” said Lisa Baron, executive director of Greentopia.
In a segment on Rochester In Focus prior to the dinner, Baron previewed the event and discussed the importance of Greentopia.
Greentopia develops urban farms and teaches kids to farm flowers and sell them in stores across Rochester. To learn more about Greentopia, click here.
