SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A charging electric scooter was determined to be the cause of a residential fire in San Francisco Thursday morning, according to fire officials.
The San Francisco Fire Department responded at 5:28 a.m. to the 200 block of 16th Avenue on the report of a structure fire. Arriving firefighters located an active fire in the garage of a three-story single-family home.
The blaze was contained by 6:34 a.m., SFFD said. The fire was limited to the single residence, and no one was displaced.
“The cause of the fire was traced to a scooter that was charging,” the fire department said.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
