ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Get ready to get that A.C. cranking! Temperatures will rise to 80 degrees by the middle of this morning and will peak in the low 90s this afternoon, but with the added humidity it will feel like near 100 degrees outside. So if you have to be out and about, drink plenty of water, find some shade, and don’t overexert yourself. Sunshine dominates today so wear some sunscreen too. Other than that, there will be a slight breeze with gusts around 20 MPH out of the southwest.
After midnight tonight through tomorrow morning we have a risk for thunderstorms, but they will move through quick and the ground is not saturated, meaning a flood threat isn’t quite there. They could bring a gusty wind however, but likely not enough to cause any damage, so we stay Green on the Threat Tracker. Shower/thunder threat continues through Friday afternoon mainly south of the Thruway, but in between any rain will be partly sunny skies and humid air with highs in the mid 80s.
Saturday will be mostly dry for everyone with partly sunny skies and humid air with highs again in the mid 80s, but can’t rule out some spot light showers throughout the day. Sunday we are tracking another round of thunderstorms that will put a damper on any outdoor plans. Right now best chance for storms is in the morning through the early afternoon. Check back in for updates on the exact timing and intensity of those storms.
The heat and humidity sticks around Monday and Tuesday before a cooler pattern settles in for the latter half of next week.
