The department announced on Tuesday that it’s partnering with InVeris, a company that aims to provide realistic training experiences. The training includes a test of de-escalation skills and community interactions.
Brighton Police shared some photos of officers using the program. The department said:
“By leveraging virtual reality technology, we can better prepare our officers to respond to complex situations, ultimately enhancing public safety and trust in our community. We are excited to integrate this innovative platform into our training program and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our officers and the community we serve.”
