Krispy Kremes Fresh New Collab Is Glazed With Personality

Krispy Kreme's latest collaboration took over one year to perfect, and it looks to be well worth the wait.

The fan-favorite doughnut shop tapped the masters of collaboration, Crocs, for a limited-edition release that it says could be "THE colossal collab of the year."

    On Wednesday, Krispy Kreme and the iconic shoe brand revealed that they would be "now serving" a "comfort meets crave" recipe that takes two "icons" and "true global originals" and combines them for a fresh fashion statement.

    The new partnership takes Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed Doughnut and reimagines it as Crocs’ Classic Clog, complete with a custom co-branded box designed to resemble a Krispy Kreme’s classic dozens box. Also available is a Krispy Kreme-inspired five-pack of Jibbitzcharms, featuring two doughnuts, a dozens box, the iconic paper hat and a Krispy Kreme logo.

    "It’s been so much fun working with Crocs to create what might be the sweetest Classic Clogs yet," said Krispy Kreme chief brand and product officer Alison Holder in a statement. "Fans of both of our brands expect the unexpected and this collab certainly is next-level when it comes to that. We can’t wait to see Krispy Kreme x Crocs ‘clog’ social media."

    The collab officially drops at Crocs stores, retailers and online on August 5, but if fans stop by participating Krispy Kreme shops the day prior, they can score early access by scanning the displayed Crocs QR code.

    For the week following the release, Krispy Kreme will offer a "special dozen that features the three doughnuts brought to life by the Clogs, including the iconic Original Glazed." The special will be available from August 4 through 10 at Krispy Kreme.
