A NEW cheeseburger combo has been launched at Red Robin, taking on rival McDonald’s with its Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Meal.

Red Robin is selling its new combo for just $9.99, which is up to $5 cheaper than what McDonald’s has to offer.

    Known as the Big Yummm Burger Deal, it is available to dine-in all day, every day at participating Red Robin locations.

    The burger combo meal comes to Red Robin starting this week.

    The Double Tavern Burger is two seared patties served with a Secret Tavern Sauce and cheese.

    The burger also contains lettuce and fresh tomato.

    For the side, diners can choose between Red Robin‘s famous Steak Fries, Side House or Everything Caesar Salad, Steamed Broccoli or Yukon Chips.

    The bottomless soda can also be a lemonade or an iced tea, it is important to note.

    Dave Pace, president and CEO of Red Robin, praised the meal for being uncomplicated and great value.

    He said in a press release: “We don’t need to complicate this – today’s diners want great food and a great dining experience without having to dive deep into their pockets, and that’s exactly what our Big Yummm Burger Deal delivers.

    “For just $9.99, guests can enjoy true value at Red Robin – including a hot, juicy, hand-smashed double patty burger, an abundant bottomless side and beverage, and great, full-service hospitality in a fun atmosphere, all for less than what many concepts charge at the drive-thru window.”

    Compared to McDonald’s, its Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Meal typically costs between $10 and $15.

    UPGRADED VALUE

    Diners also have the option to upgrade their meal with a variety of options.

    These include a Bottomless Specialty Lemonades, Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry Milkshakes and Bottomless Root Beer Floats.

    You can also upgrade your combo meal to feature premium sides like Garlic Parmesan Fries and Sweet Potato Fries.

    To redeem, guests can let their server know that they want the Big Yummm Burger Deal.

    NEW RESTAURANT OPENING

    Fast food fanatics are also excited about the opening of a new sandwich chain location, Jimmy John’s.

    The new Jimmy John’s is set to open in Stevensville, Michigan next month.

    There is not yet an exact opening date, however.

    On social media, people have been praising Jimmy John’s as being better than Subway, one of the leading fast food chains.

    One Facebook post claimed: “I just have to say it jimmy John’s is better than subway.”
