Weekdays
Ontario County Fair (Tuesday through Saturday)
The 182nd annual Ontario County Fair begins Tuesday in Canandaigua with carnival games, shows, food, and animals at the fairgrounds every day through Saturday.
The fair will kick off with the soapbox derby bed race. During the fair, there will be livestock and animal shows, a Party Animals Petting Zoo, model train displays, and Ontario County sheriff demonstrations
Fairgoers can learn about Ontario County agriculture by visiting the animal exhibits, rooster crowing contests, dairy shows, and livestock challenges. The fair will be held daily at the county fairgrounds on County Road 10 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can learn more here.
Concerts by the Shore (Wednesday)
The Concerts by the Shore series continues with a performance from rock band Junk Yard Field Trip. The free concert series takes place every Wednesday through Aug. 27 at Ontario Beach Park.
Each concert starts at 7 p.m., except for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance, which begins at 7:30 p.m. There will be food vendors at the concerts. Parking is available at the beach. Here’s the rest of this season’s lineup:

The 28th season of Party in the Park continues with a performance from rock band Melvin Seals and JGB, along with the band Dogs in a Pile.
The concert series at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park runs every Thursday through Aug. 14. There will also be local food vendors, craft beer, and wine available at the shows.

The Rochester Public Market will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community on Friday with Pride Night and live music. It’s part of Bands on the Bricks, takes place every Friday through Aug. 15.
Bands on the Bricks runs from 6 to 10 p.m. with national and local acts. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and food and drinks vendors will be there. The concert series has been going on for over 25 years. Here’s the rest of this season’s lineup:

Movies in the Park is back. There will be a screening of the 2005 animated film “Madagascar” at Seneca Park Zoo on Friday night. Movies in the Park is a free family-friendly series of movie screenings at popular spots around the county. It runs from June to September.

Indigenous Music & Arts Festival (Saturday and Sunday)
The Indigenous Music & Arts Festival is taking place this weekend at the Ganondagan Historic Site on County Road 41 in Victor.
The annual festival showcases Haudenosaunee cultures through dance, music, storytelling, and traditional craft demonstrations. There will also be an Indigenous Arts Market, children’s activities, raffles, guided trail walks, gallery tours, and Indigenous food.
The festival is free with a suggested donation. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival will feature award-winning musician, Derek Miller (Mohawk) and actor and blues icon Gary Farmer (Cayuga). You can see the full lineup of performers here.
Black Culture Festival (Saturday and Sunday)
The sixth annual Black Culture Festival will take place at Parcel 5 this weekend. It will feature over 50 Black-owned businesses and artists selling their work.
There will also be musical performances, a hair expo, and a family fashion show to celebrate Black style across generations. This year’s theme is “Dripping in Culture,” highlighting the influence of Black people in fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The festival runs from noon to 8 p.m. each day.
