The Badr Criminal Court in Egypt on Monday has chosen to remove the name of political activist Alaa Abdel-Fattah from the terrorist list, and ordered the decision to be published in the Egyptian Gazette (al-Waqa’i’ al-Misriyya) free of charge.
The court stated that after reviewing Decision #3 of 2025 regarding Felony Case #1781 of 2019, State Security Confinement, the court decided to remove the name of Alaa Ahmed Seif al-Islam Abdel-Fattah from the terrorist list.
This decision was based on investigations that indicated that Abdel-Fattah was not working on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group.
