A beach closure was put in place Monday evening after a shark “exhibiting aggressive behavior” was spotted just south of the Redondo Pier in Redondo Beach, according to lifeguards with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The beach from the pier extending one mile south will remain closed until further notice,” the lifeguard division said on social media.
The closure was announced around 6:45 p.m. on social media.
