Al Roker revealed the sweet reason why he recently missed three episodes of The Today Show.
After Roker, 70, missed the July 17 and July 18 episodes of the morning talk show, his absences continued when he didn't appear on the Monday, July 21, episode. While co-host Dylan Dreyer filled in for him in the show's earlier hours, it wasn't until Roker took to Instagram on Monday to reveal the real reason he hasn't been on the show.
"We had a great time celebrating Nick Roker’s 23rd birthday in Bermuda this weekend,” Roker captioned photos of himself, his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their son on the tropical trip. “The folks at the @thelorenhotels Pink Beach were lovely and had a great #oldskool meal at @tommoorestavern Can’t wait to go back.”

Shortly after Roker uploaded the photos, several social media users took to the comments section to gush about how great the vacation looked. "Enjoy every moment of your vacation. You certainly deserve it," one person commented, while another added, "Beautiful pictures. Beautiful family."
Meanwhile, others made sure to wish Nick a happy birthday. "Can’t believe how tall & handsome your ‘boy’ is! Great birthday celebration," a third person wrote.

Roker became a father when he and his ex-wife, Alice Bell, welcomed their daughter, Courtney, in 1987. He and Roberts, 64, got married in 1995 before they welcomed their daughter, Leila, in 1998 and Nick in 2002.
Three days before Roker revealed their getaway, he took to Instagram to wish Nick a happy birthday on the actual day. "Happy Birthday to this guy. Hard to believe he is 23! Here’s a look at those 23 years," he wrote alongside a video of photos of Nick over the years. "So very proud of the young man he has become. We love you, Nicholas!!"
