ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A big dome of high-pressure continues to pump cool, dry air across Western New York. Bright sunshine, low humidity, comfortable temperatures, and a light breeze means we have all the right ingredients for beautiful weather. This will last one more day, before the heat and humidity slowly build back across the Rochester area for the second half of the week.
Tonight brings clear to partly cloudy skies. It will be a good night for sleeping with the low temperature in the middle 50s. Tuesday features more sunshine and a high temperature in the upper 70s. Wednesday, the first day of Bills training camp, will bring more sunshine. It should be comfortable for the morning with readings mainly in the 70s, but the heat will build by the afternoon with the temperature rising into the upper 80s. Then the tropical weather returns to Western New York for Thursday and Friday when mercury will be in then 90s. In fact, the heat index (the combination of temperature and humidity) will be near 100 degrees for Thursday. Thundershowers will be on the increase for Friday.
