POLICE REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 707-463-6205.
GRAFFITI: Caller in the 800 block of Waugh Lane reported graffiti at 3:27 p.m. July 17. An officer took a report. Caller at 8:32 a.m. July 18 reported graffiti to a fence. An officer took a report.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle near Safeway on South State Street at 9:23 p.m. July 17 and arrested Travis L. Jennings, 36, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.
MAN WITH MACHETE: Caller in the 900 block of North State Street reported at 9:32 a.m. July 18 that a man in the area had a “machete strapped to his leg.” An officer responded and reported there was no crime.
SEVEN PUPPIES OFF-LEASH: Caller in Todd Grove Park reported at 9:37 a.m. July 18 that two men near the rocket ship had “seven puppies off-leash.” An officer responded and reported that there were no dogs off-leash in the area. At 9:53 a.m., a caller at the park requested to speak with an officer regarding “an ongoing issue with dogs off-leash.” The information was taken and the caller advised they would call back the next day.
MAN PULLING PANTS DOWN: Caller in the 1200 block of South State Street reported at 1:18 p.m. July 18 that a man in the area was pulling his pants down. An officer responded and reported that the man was gone.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 101 at Lake Mendocino Drive at 2:07 a.m. July 19 and arrested William J. Jones, 29, of Lake County, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into county jail.
MOTHER MISSING: Caller in the 1200 block of North Pine Street reported at 8:52 a.m. July 19 that their elderly mother has dementia and was not at her home. An officer responded, reported that the woman was found and returned home.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of East Perkins Street at 9:05 p.m. July 19 and arrested Lluan C. Fuentes, 36, of Ukiah, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a license suspended/revoked for DUI and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.
RAPE: Caller in the 1000 block of South State Street reported a rape at 11:27 p.m. July 19. An officer took a report.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper.
